So you do worship well in your church? Are you interested in exploring why
you do what you do? Are you interested in expanding your repertory of music
and other worship elements to deepen the worship experience? Come to *Fresh
Ideas in Music & Worship*!

We will start with a stimulating short worship service led by the Rev. Tim
Kutzmark of Reading, followed by a presentation from the District Executive,
the Rev. Terasa Cooley on Unitarian and Universalist ideas about what
worship is and the phases of a service. Our keynote presenter is the Rev.
Burns Stanfield, a Presbyterian minister and musician who teaches worship
arts at Andover Newton Theological School. Burns will be aiming to deepen
our understanding of the factors involved in choosing hymns. Anthems and
other worship elements.

There will be opportunities for singing along the way.

After lunch, we will break out into teams to analyze our own worship
practices in light of what we are learning. Each team is invited to bring
hymnals and several recent Orders of Service.

The program will conclude with a hymn sing. Let us know your favorite hymn
and one that you want to learn.
