Multiracial UU Church Conference Ends

The UUA’s special conference on multiracial congregations ended this weekend, along with DRUUMM’s Asian/Pacific Islander Conference.  I’m beginning to hear reports and look forward to understanding more about the collective learning and visions for the future.  I’m uncertain how many attended Now Is The Time, Minton Brooks, Co-Chair of Allies for Racial Equity has these photos in his public album, looks like 20-30 participants a friend from the Seminarians of Color network reports that over 200 attended.  Kok Heong McNaughton reports that nearly 40 total persons, including White Allies and children, attended the APIC Conference at All Souls DC.  This is the second consecutive APIC conference I’ve missed, last year we were preparing for the birth of Miyka’ela.  Alas.  I’m committed to attending in 2008.
